do it sweetly and in person. tell her the reason why you want to break up with her but dont be rude about it. Dont give her all that crap about " its not you, its me" or " I love you, im jus not in love with you" cuz thats gonna make her more mad. Jus be as sweet as possible and it wont be so bad.

You need to be straight with her. Go up to her and tell her you need to talk to her. Then be cool , calm. Tell her that you want to break up with her in a polite way. Tell her that you don't like her more than a friend.

be nice about it! Do it in person, no matter how hard it is. If you are earnest let her know you still want to be friends. If not, don't meantion it. Give her a reason, but not one that is insulting to her. First and foremost, be nice!
