If you find out let me know.
when I was at school a teacher once said to me about my handwriting "it looks like a spider has stepped in ink and walked across the page"

I think this will be of great help.
http://www.ehow.com/how_16072_improve-handwriting.html

"For some people, good penmanship comes naturally. For others, it's a struggle just to make it legible. If you fall into the latter category, there are ways you can go about improving your handwriting."

Write slowly and carefully to shape the letters the way you want them everytime. Soon it will be habit and you write that way naturally.

I thought this seemed helpful:
Tips
Relax
Spell the letters
Add a sample word or sentence on top of your notes!
If you still do not improve, use graph paper.
Keep a page or two written in good hand writing in front of you for inspiration. That should be a model for you.
Keep on writing "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" in small and capital letters.

Warnings
Never try more than one type of writings.
Do not press the nib (tip) of your pen hard on the paper during writing.
Do not use ball points unless you are mature in your writing skills.

I have the same problem as you. My handwriting isn't the prettiest. And I will use these tips to work ion it.
I hope I helped you!! It took a while to find all of that stuff! :]

The worst thing that ever happened to my handwriting was I learned to do joined up in junior school. So back to the baby print I learned in infants only neater! It took me 5 years to "unlearn" joined up writing.

There is a disadvantage with it though. Although people remark all the time "nice hand writing", "nice handwriting for a bloke", "god I enjoy marking your assignments", "why don't you ever write me letters grandson" handwriting "experts" say its very undeveloped, young and immature. But then I read questions like yours and think "STUFF EM"

SLOW DOWN!

Do you read your assignments after you have finished them? Get a friend read it out loud for you as well then it will make you see what its like.

The reason I say this is a friend can read it to themselves and say to you "lovely" but if they're reading it out loud they can either read it or they cant.

Try writing bigger/smaller to see if this helps.

Go to a good stationers and try out some different pens.

Use the word processor!

Good luck! Hope it helps.

Hi there

A lot of people have this problem. Calligraphy can help and also going back to basics and practise writing the individual letters from scratch. Difficult to do but I'm sure with practise you will notice a difference. Failing that become a doctor! How no one has ever been killed for misreading their prescriptions is beyond me ;)

You could get yourself a caligraphy set from W H Smith.
My writing is pretty bad when I am rushed (happens to all intelligent peoplr, eh?) But after trying the set from Smiths, and when I take my time, I can make it legible!
