I'm sure there are more ways than that...

Do you know that there a lot of people in the world that believe differently then you?

And a lot of people who have left Christianity did so not because of some wrong done to them, but because they actually began to ask questions that had no real answers? Or that some of us actually researched Christianity and found it was not supported as it claimed it was by the OT? That most of the suppose prophecies were not prophecies at all - and that in reality Jesus fulfilled NONE of the Messianic ones?

Or that the historical context as presented in the bible that surrounds Jesus' life does not match what we know from actual historical documents?

I know - hard to believe. But some of us have figured out that the way to get to heaven is not about following Jesus. It's about knowing God.

I'm not sure if that is standard christian teaching.
Jesus pays for our sins. We get born again. We have to learn to live from our spirit rather than soul, and with the help of the Holy Spirit. We are all going to fail a lot on the way, our victory coming from our faith. If all christians were able to behave in a perfect way the whole world would have been evangelised many centuries ago.

To me, the example of Christ equals being a good person and doing right by others. I fail to see how any moral person of any religion (or none) would be unable to meet that standard.

not all righteous people will go to heaven

cause the ones that will go to heaven will have a priviledge of co-ruling with christ in heaven (revelation 5:9-10)

that is to rule............the earth

the ones that jesus mentioned to live forever on earth

matthew 5:5..........Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

psalm 37:29.........The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside...... forever upon it

but the ones who will be with him in heaven were bought from the earth....( rev 14:4).....they are numbered>>>>(revelations 14:1)

the role they play is mentioned in revelations 5:9 and 10.....compare it to the symbolic one in matthew....19:28

Indeed, we now know that Io has the youngest surface in the Solar System. Present estimates are that it is so active geologically that its surface is completely redone on a timescale of about a million years---a twinkling of the eye on geological timescales. This makes Io the most active object geologically in the Solar System. In addition to the intense volcanic activity, Io's surface is being continuously eroded by a bombardment of charged particles trapped in Jupiter's magnetic field.

While I think you mean well you are wrong. It is not following Jesus that saves men, it is trusting in His sacrifice on Calvary: plain and simple. Ephesians 2:8,0, "For by Grace have you been saved through faith, not of yourself not of works less any man should boast". Its not about what we can do, but what Christ has already has done! Follow Him, yes, but accept His sacrifice.

Really, Is that what you do? Ever fail? I'll bet not, anyone trying to earn his way to God would never fail.. I fail all the time. I can't even pretend I follow Jesus as close as I want to. But tell you what, when it comes down to following you or trusting the words of Jesus "...that whosoever believes on His will have eternal life" I'll take Jesus..... Jim

Hmmm my Bible says to accept Christ in my heart. Seek forgiveness when you do wrong. That's it. Yes you are to try to follow the example of Christ, but on one can do that 100% which is why Jesus died to forgive our sins.

Is Gandhi rotting in hell? How about The Dalai Lama? Will he be cast into the buring pit of hell because he wasn't a member of the American branch of reformed Presby-Lutheranism? You self righteous pompous jerk-offs make me want to puke.

Lord Jesus, I pray, save me from your followers!! Amen.
