would he show? Or, would he allow one crazy person to exterminate all life on earth?

(For naysayers, understand that nano-technology involves self-replicating, molecule sized machines that can change the structure of compounds (like water) at the atomic level. The fear is that this technology might escape into the world, exponentially multiply, and change a crucial aspect of our environment necessary for the existence of life on Earth.)

It would take years for your nanobots to turn all of the Earth's water into poison. By the time that it was a real threat to the majority of our population we will have developed a cure.

Needless to say, we will more than likely have a very sophisticated array of nanobots within our bodies already which can adapt to take care of such poison.

I agree with the guy above me.

If you were to do anything to request a sign of God you would not recieve if it be only by good works. Once you feel the holy ghost you know there is a God. You can only feel Gods spirit through the obediance of his commandments.

Furthermore-

If you commit a act of terrorism of that scale it will stand against you in the days of judgement.

There are 4 things that are sure in this world.
1. We live
2. We die
3. God loves us
4. and exists

woah. good question! but I think that god wouldn't let you develop this technology in the first place (not nanotechnology but the one that changes water). For example he'd set your lab on fire or make you lose all your doucmetns or forget your forumal's or something else.

To answer your questions I will say that you had better stock up stored water, you'll need it after the nanobots turn the rest into poison.

Nothing would show itself to stop you, because there have been worse crimes throughout Human history and not once has god shown her/himself to stop them, so I don;t see any reason why one would now, just because of your actions.
