Could be Plantar Fasciitis,
It's an overuse injury affecting the sole or flexor surface (plantar) of the foot. A diagnosis of plantar fasciitis means you have inflamed the tough, fibrous band of tissue (fascia) connecting your heel bone to the base of your toes.
You're more likely to get the condition if you're a woman, if you're overweight, or if you have a job that requires a lot of walking or standing on hard surfaces. You're also at risk if you walk or run for exercise, especially if you have tight calf muscles that limit how far you can flex your ankles. People with very flat feet or very high arches are also more prone to plantar fasciitis.
The condition starts gradually with mild pain at the heel bone often referred to as a stone bruise. You're more likely to feel it after (not during) exercise. The pain classically occurs again after arising from a midday lunch break.

Is it in the joint where your big toe and foot join? If so, this could be gout. My husband was just diagnosed with it. It just started hurting for no reason. It is caused by high uric acid build up in the blood. Your chances of getting gout are higher if you are overweight, drink too much alcohol, or eat too much meat. My husband does not drink alcohol, but did eat steaks 2 weekends in a row...maybe that triggered it? Just a thought-but if it is gout,it needs to be treated. Another thought would be tendonitis. The tendon runs from the ball of the foot to the heel (arch area). If that band area is tender, you may need to get some supportive shoes, and take anit inflammatory drugs.

The above has a good question.Shoes? How old are they? Are your feet hurting in the ball or the heel? Did you just start this running program? Pain is always a warning, you'll need to stop and let them heal up......maybe put a heating pad on the floor and put your feet on them, this would help....

Same thing here to me too . i went and bought me a running shoe for that and my feet do feel much better now. Remember to start out slow and not to run a marathon right away . So your feet and legs will get used to it .

get a GOOD pair of shoes. do ur feet have HIGH Arch? if so, ppl who have high arch's they usually tend to put full force on heels. if the good shoes dont work, u could have heal spurs. i have these, and got an x-ray done. its qucik, and painless, then the doc will MOST likely (if u do have heel spurs) give u a "perscription" for some really good foot insoles. those have worked wonders for me. Heel Spurs are cause by trama force on ur heel. a bone "chipped" off and grew like a huck of the other bone. causing a heel spur. :)

that happened to me like last year i went to the orthopedic and he said i had tendonatis i could not even walk it hurt so bad. i had to go to pyhsical therapy and everything try strecthing the area it hurts a lot or every morning my problem was very tight leg muscle and they were pulling on my knees and my achilles tendon
