I did my old 1004 online and i did not include my medical expenses.I had already did the efile. I went to the tax preparer that weekend and had her do an ammendment for me. I just recieved my check in my account form the one i did online. What is going to happen? Are they going to just give me the difference? The ammended one was more than the old one. If there is anyone that can help me i'd appreciate it.

They got the original one first, so you got the refund on that. The additional refund on the amendment might take a couple months, but yes, they'll send you the difference.

You should always wait for the original 1040 to be processed before amending it.
The amended return will be processed now and if you are due a additional refund it will be sent.

I'm sure your return was e-fied, so that's what IRS went with. You will eventually get the amended, be patient.

It could take a while, but eventually IRS will straighten it out.
