Can you identify the Brits?
sky2evan -- absolutely.
ps3 lover -- the US did not go to war to save England, France, or to stop the atrocities against the Jews.
There was the Pearl Harbor incident and the beginning of the war with Japan. Then the Germans declared war on the US. Before that the Americans were making a bundle selling arms.
The US would have lost to the Japanese if it were not for the help of the allies. And just to be clear - the atomic bomb wasn't created by America either. It was developed in the states by brilliant scientists from all over. When the bombs were dropped on Japan, Japan had lost the war. It was just a matter of time.

Unlike in the US, where 100 million Americans (30%) still support the war, in the UK it is only about 18% or less. In fact, the UK is already beginning withdrawal operations, and Tony Blair is voluntarily expected to step down this year, perhaps by summer.
What the Prince does is his own decision, and does not reflect the values or decisions of other UK nationals.
Your question should be rephrased:
"What's with the whole world talking about the US military like this?" Since our so-called coalition is virtually non-existent now, and nearly the entire Free World is against this Iraq War... and has been since the beginning.
But I suppose you didn't know that, did you? Even if you did, you probably wouldn't care, either, because most Americans don't give a damn about world opinion - we think we know better than anybody else what's going on, and about what the "right" thing to do is.
The US is the greatest threat to world peace today. The Cold War has been over for 15 years, but we still have 7,000 active nuclear missiles, and we are in the process of building Theater Missile Defense and space-based weapons. We have 700 overseas military bases spread over 130 countries worldwide. We spend 50% of the federal budget (talk about BIG government) on "defense" (war), which is $400+ billion/year. That's 40X our potential enemy countries combined (Iran, Syria, NKorea, etc.). All that propaganda about "national security" and "protecting American freedom" is bullsh*t fed to you to believe that there are credible threats, so that you will tacitly support US expansion & a US world order.
Buying weapons is useless if you don't use them. So, since WW2, when we first built up our military industrial complex, and our leaders discovered "defense" spending (war) was not only a great way to make money & spur technological advance, but also a great way to acquire more world power & influence... we've engaged in around 30 military interventions, and been involved in 1 major war every decade on average. More wars = more money = more power.
You should inform yourself more about US Imperialism, and why it is the greatest threat to world peace, stability, & security today.
After all, 50% of your tax dollars are paying for it, as well as your votes to support it.

Justifiable? How can any of you justify the hundreds and thousands dead as a result of the war. WMD's? Nobody found any WMD's. But as America has a habit of acting like the BB it acts in its interest. Most Americans never even knew who Shia or Sunni muslims were and what there differences are before this escapade.
If any of you want to give some food to thought visit the web and search for statistics on the number of ppl dying each day in Iraq after the Allied forces invaded it. And estimated 150 ppl die each day as a result of political anarchy caused by the Allied Forces. Multiply that by the number of days the allied forces have been there. The statistics are 1000 times worse than what happened on 9/11.
Saddam was bad, but he was still way better and iraq was much better than what it is now.
America and the allied forces will pack up there bags and leave. After enough target practice and minting more money from their govts. What they will leave behind will be for the innocent fatherless children. Years and years of misery.
Alas Ignorance trully is bliss.

Rick V wrote -the US did not go to war to save England, France, or to stop the atrocities against the Jews. Well Rick V you're wrong another victim of revisionist history that has tried to paint the US in a bad light. As I recall from my history lessons, we fought the Nazis in Europe first before turning our attention on Japan who posed a more pressing danger on the US. as for Sky2evan, Wow are you mistaken, the coalition has gained and lost members since the end of major combat action and the beginning of occupation. Nothing strange about that. And as for the US being a threat to world peace, didn't we cowtow to the UN before taking UN sanctioned action against IRAQ? Didn't Iran attack Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and finance Palestinian terrorists? How can you possibly think that the US is a threat to world peace? You must be deranged.

For clarity on this subject, it is not the British people but the way way left liberal Brit press that is doing it's damndest to polute the minds of the weak & unintelligent - kinda like our liberal press but worse & far more vicious. God Bless & protect our troops. PS, sky2evan is an anti-American idiot that doesn't realize we are in a struggle with an anti Jew, Christian, Gay etc ideology that seeks to destroy ALL who do not convert to Islam including each of us that access this site. We cannot quit in the middle east until we are victorious no matter how long it takes - & it will take years. By the way we are still in Korea & Germany & Japan some 50 yrs later.

You have to keep in mind that Democratic Liberalism Mentality has already spread throughout England and taken over. As for as I am concerned the England that I once knew doesn't exist anymore. Our Democrats over here in the U.S. want to do the same thing as England did and that is destroy the Truth Party, a party that we call Republicans over here in the United States and replace it with Democrats and let the Muslims take over. Keep in mind England has over a 1,000 sanctuaries and mosques for Muslims, Arabs, Iranians, Al Qaida, ect..... over there in their country right now. Their Government has become polluted. They want to bring America down with it.
