the SA node (sino-atrial node) fires the atria to contract
the atria...the signal then goes tothe AV node (atrail-ventricular) node, which becomes the Bundle of HIS, which then divides the signal into 2 routes, the right and left bundle branches which then further divides into the purkinge system..
the ventricles have to have more electricity to fire because they are bigger and pump a larger volume of blood (ejection fraction) a greater distance (thru the body)

the atrioventricular (AV) node, which sends impulses down the bundle branches into the purkinje fibers to the ventricular muscle.
