my bf of a year, moved to missouri, and i still love him w/ all my heart, i tried another bf, but i called him my ex's name alot...accidentally. i really feel like i could never love again, but i don't know whether i should ask him just to be my date for my softball banquet or not.

ahh... sounds familiar. it's called the rebound. the rebound is not nearly as nice as the real thing (your ex). i can sympathize, because i just broke up and i am trying to look for other guys but i really just can't see anything special about any of them b/c i miss my ex so much...
in my opinion i think you should ask this guy to the softball banquet hall. if not him, go for a third guy and ask him. or better yet, just go to the banquet hall with a group of friends. in my experience you always have more fun at those things when you're with a group of friends you can joke around rather than a date.

A year is a long time to be with someone and then not have them. I understand your feelings. I am not sure of the circumstances surrounding your breakup, but I can tell you this that time heals all wounds. I don't think asking him to be your date will make you feel any better becuase at the end of the day you two are not togther, move on girl. You will love again. You have to start dating again, and put the focus on YOU. Best wishes...........
