Try Innova Evo. It's high quality, all natural, no grains or corn, and low allergy. Schnauzers are very prone to allergies and skin problems, so this would be a very good food. It comes in poultry or red meat varieties, for a small dog I would suggest the poultry variety. It is formulated for puppies and dogs of all ages. You can find it at natural pet stores.

Chicken Soup, Artemis, Merrick, Wellness, Verus, Canidae, Timberwolf Organics, Solid Gold are all good brands too. DON'T buy anything from Petsmart or the grocery store! Including Science Diet! Those are low-quality foods that make allergies worse, contribute to obesity, and can cause all sorts of health problems.

Congrats on your new mini. My mini is 3 years old and I have been feeding her Nutro max since she was a puppy. I gave her the purple bag(the one for puppy). Be careful before I know they are having a recall on some of the nutro products.

Precise is a great premium dog food that has been doing all natural for over 20 years with NO recalls or problems. They have a wide range of types for puppy to adult to sensitive tummies. Check out their website www.precisepet.com

Food made for puppies. At that age you might give her a little can food then slowly put her on dry food.

Have fun with your new puppy.

Everybody has their own opinion on dog food...Ask her vet what he/she thinks is best for your new puppy! I recently changed my german shepherds food to Nutro because it has no corn products which arent very useful to a dog.
