What is the difference between prescription frames and regular reading glasses frames? How can you tell the difference without going to the optomatrist?

The only difference is the quality of the frame. I can buy 10 pair of reading glasses for what it would cost to buy 1 pair of prescription glasses. I've got 1 pair I've had for 5 years I spent about $10 on. Style too is a factor. It really comes down to money & quality. With reading glasses it doesn't hurt as much when they get broke or lost. Hope this at least gave you something to think about.
