i'd cancel. if the vet thought it was that serious in the first place they would have seen it the same day.

Yes it would. You may not be able to see the scratch right now but when the vet does the stain test on the eye then it will definitely show up. Be a good guy and keep the appointment.
Your dog will still need antibiotic cream to prevent the eye from getting infected.

I would call them to check if there's no symptoms, to see whether or not you still need to come in. Dogs really don't show much pain, but a scratch can open up the eye for infection. I would still go in for eye issues, since they are such sensitive organs. You will probably get an eye antibiotic specifically for Max. Good luck!

If can't afford it maybe check on a vet web site, but yes better safe than sorry to take the dog in.
What would a family doctor do in this mater? The same for eye wound, so I would even check our family medical web site out.

i would definitely see the vet, if there is a scratch you wont be able to see it now but a stain test will def show and there is medicine that can heal it, if you dont treat it he could go blind and just because he doesnt look like he is in pain, dogs are used to not showing pain becuase in the wild that was a sign of weakness and they would get killed, long story short, dogs dont show pain so there is no way to tell if it is bothering him so i would take him

I think that the main concern would be the tendency for infection. It may have been just a scratch and it may appear to be ok now, but can you be for certain that no dirt or germs got to it earlier? If he's your baby, take him to the vet. Better to be safe than sorry and you should have no regrets for doing the best you can for your pets. Good luck.

I would not cancel because it still could give him problems later on it is better to be safe than sorry and you would not want him losing his sight when it could have been prevented and besides with as much as yo say you love him you would feel guilty about it later and this way you will know for sure and there will not be any doubts in your mind about his health

if your not to concerned with the injury and it didnt seem to effect the dog much then you can call and cancel the appointment. however, if you are unsure wether or not the injury should be taken care of by a profesional you could call the office again and ask them if you should still bring the dog in even if the injury seems to be fully healed. its just a precaution just in case its more serious then it seems.
hope your dog is ok!

it wouldn't hurt to get him check out anyway. No one could see the scratch in my dog eyes until they put a dye in her eyes. Once the dye was put in the scratch turn green. We
seen it then. So it wouldn't hurt just to have him check out. Better safe then sorry. Your dog only have one set of eyes.

no , you shouldnt cancel the appointment cause maybe the eye can still be in danger any ways. you can take the dog to the grooming pets shop cause they do those kind of jobs too . might cost least then the veterinarian clinic . you should have them double check the eye first to see if nothing wrong with it .
