Nair is sooo much less convenient than shaving! It barely works and it's messy and can even burn the skin.
I hate arm hair so I used to just shave it off... the hairs were fairly thin though so I didn't get like razor stubble, if the hairs themselves are thick the best thing to do is to actually pull them out by the roots. Wax them, or even better buy an epilator (that's what I do now!)--these pull the hair out by the roots more efficiently than wax without pulling on your skin or being as messy. You can buy them in the electric shaver section of a store. Hurts alot (and hurts more than wax), but it's worth it because since it's okay if arms are a little hairy, you only have to use the epilator/wax once every 2-3 weeks or so when the hair starts getting back to its original length. It's not like other places like the armpits where if there's a little hair it looks awful. If you use an epilator (or wax) the hairs will start growing back at different times and won't be all the exact same length, so you won't have razor stubble! Re-growth from Nair is almost as bad as from a shaver, because the hair doesn't get pulled out by the root.
Oh, and hair does NOT grow back thicker when you shave it. That's a myth. It looks thicker because you get used to having no hair at all. But if you think about it, it really makes no sense that cutting hair off above the skin would have any effect on the way it grows at the root!

I think you should not be afraid of hairy arms, all my friends shave/ use nair on legs but we never do anything to our hairy arms...but if you want to then take this advice after you become "un hairy" on your arms remeber to put sunblock in case ...since you havent been wearing short sleeves

DONT! I've tried it and I know most people think that it won't grow back thicker and it does. So just live with what you have, I mean it really doesn't matter.

i wouldnt do it if i were you. it might grow back worse. and when you get cold, and you hold on to your friends arm, and your arm is all spiky, that would really suck for your friend, and i dont think shed hold on to your arm that long. i dont know, i think you shouldnt.

I wouldn't do it. If the hair is dark, I would bleach it, it will not look so bad. But don't use any hair remover on it. If you can afford it, which most people can't, go and have laser hair removal done.
