So what is your question? Paul seems to imply that a deacon must be the "husband of but one wife" (1 Timothy 3:12), which most Baptist churches interpret to mean that a deacon cannot be divorced. But I noticed that most Episcopal churches take a more liberal stand when it comes to ordaining church leaders than most other Protestant denominations, so it appears that your church doesn't mind.

The bible says a man of one wife. That means one wife At a time as to rule out polygamy.

Does that matter in Episcopalianism? Don't you guys have a "bishop" who is in an open and active sexual relationship with another man?
