my sis wieghs 116 pounds in the 5th grade and 5'3 is that normal for her?....she thinks her legs r fat i tell her that there r not. Am i correct?

That is perfectly normal for her height...

Here is statistical information

BMI = Body Mass Index

1 - 18 = Underweight

19 - 24 = Desirable

25 - 29 = Overweight

30 - 39 = Obese

40+ = Morbidly Obese

Due to your sisters height and weight, your sister scores a 21. This means she is right in the middle or normal weight, there is no need to fret.

She sounds like a good weight, for her height.

And anyway, she's still growing. So make sure she doesn't go on any stupid diets! That's very unhealthy at her age.

She shouldn't be worried about being 'fat' yet.

if shes five three then shes only a few pounds over weight im five four n i weigh 105 but im a like ten pounds underweight...shes very tall though...thats good

She is at a good weight. I am 5'2 and 115 pounds and I wouldn't change a thing.

well the height seems alright, but just consult w/ her doctor.
It can also be that she thinks she is fat due to all that stuff on tv.
Pressure from the media and friends that always wanna be skinny.

For a 5th grader yeah..but shes pretty tall so no she is not fat!!!!!
