The first 9 months of our relationship seemed to be so perfect. Then it all came and kept getting worse. Especially the past few weeks, he has been really mean to me. He has been saying really mean things to me just to hurt me. He told me that when he's upset, he says things to upset me, but he doesn't mean them. He apologizes afterwards, but it just happens again. He tells me things like, "I hate you" and he calls me cuss words...plus a lot of other things. My heart has been broken a lot of times this way and is seemingly unfixable. I know that I should break up with him, but I just don't know how. How can I break up with him without hurting him? What can I say/do when he's being mean to me?

there is no way of breaking up with some one who has feelings for you without hurting their feelings. You have to put your foot down and tell him that I DESERVE BETTER.

If you were or already have been in public with him when he is like that will be embarrass you.You must love yourself enough to know that you need someone that will treat you good all the time.If you saw a couple and the guy is cussing out his gf you will say to yourself WHY IS SHE PUTTING UP WITH THAT!So the same goes for you.WHY IS SHE PUTTING UP WITH THAT!Yourself have to come first always otherwise anyone and everyone will walk all over you.He has problems deeper than you should be handling.Your no therapist.Date someone else.Trust me!!!!!!!!!!!

Call me a loser but I read my sister's girls life magazine. They had an article on this subject recently with maybe half a dozen girls in your same position, describing their experiences with this. It was really eye-opening. A couple girls were smart and got out of the relationship early, but others were beaten and even raped. It was terrible. One of the girls had to break up with her boyfriend in the guidance counselor's office with two armed securoty guards present. You cant change a boyfriend like yours, so i say break up with him while you're still only hurt emotionally. do it with a group of friends or With parental guidance. I know that sounds ratty and corny, but what he is doing is illegal.

Dump him!! You deserve way better! If he's being mean to you, I know it's hard not to be mean back, but just try not to be. Tell him how you feel and tell him that you can't be with him because he doesn't care or love you at all.

you can break up with him! that's emotional abuse, and shouldn't be tolerated. he's not sorry, he's just manipulating you so you'd stay around and be his punching bag. this will turn into physical abuse if you don't end it now. why do you think he loves you, or even likes you, if he curses you out every 5 minutes.
