i want to lose 20 pounds in 3 months! is that possible????? if so, how do i do it??? diets and exercises would be great! p.s i'm only 15 and i weigh 140 lbs. so if u could hurry that would be great because i am in serious need for help on how to lose my extra fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats a great goal!! Other people on here want to loose 10 pounds in a WEEK!!! Not gonna happen!!!
OK, first of all, go to target/walmart & get a pedometer! There great fun, only about $5-15 depending on the model Then if you have the money get some cute workout clothes so youll be PUMPED to go workout!! Then plan on doing crunches everyother day (50ish?) Run a mile at the track everyday that you arent doing crunches, do weight training twice a week and pilates, if you can, once a week.
Then plan how many calories your gonna need to consume (find that out by going here: http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.html). If your mom/dad packs you lunch or you do, make a plan of what your going to have (aim for a fruit, a sanwhich on wheat bread, a snack like pretzels or goldfish or thiscuits) But if you buy lunch & the healithiest thing is a salad or baked potato (like at my school) Thenbe prepared for some self control!!! Make good decisiouns, but if you MUST break down & have a cookie once in a while, go ahead. just dont EVERYDAY!!!!!!!

you're going to have to cut calories and excercise alot. at 140lbs your base metabolic rate is probably somewhere near 1650 calories a day. keep this in mind. 3500 calories is a pound, in a rough estimate, so at your desired rate you'd have to cut at least 1500 calories a day. i suggest starting the day with green tea and a whole grain cereal to get your metabolism racing. dont snack, eat 3 square meals, and be certain not to eat within 5 hours of going to sleep, as when you sleep you are at your lowest potential to burn calories. watch your portions, and get a strong excercise plan going. chinups, crunches and pushups will melt some weight fast, and of course cardio activities such as jogging are necessary, try to keep a decent pace at whatever activity you've began for at least 50 minutes.


all this sounds overwhelming i know. My main suggestion is to eat less, control snacking and excercise some. total up the the food you ate during the day subtract the excercise you did, then subtract that base metabolic rate i gave you and see what your number is. if its 0 to -300, you're doing good. -300 to -500 you're doing very well and -500+ is exceptional but you have to watch out for cravings and lack of motivation the following day. Use this plan, and keep a base goal in mind of 15 lbs, force yourself to keep going till you've lost that much. After losing that much, you'll feel much better about yourself and depending on how determined you are you may settle or push for that 30 lb goal.

YOu do not have to lose that mcuh weight. I'm an inch shorter than you, and I was once one hundred twenty five final 12 months. Exercise everyday like jogging around the block
Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.
