Do you believe in evolution? I assumed that no, you wouldn't but i just read someone's answer that says as a Muslim she (and all) Muslims believe in evolution. If it's true I am really surprised.

Thanks

I honestly didn't think you did. I was really shocked to hear her say this. I thought I would ask just in case I was wrong.

Johnny...you have issues. I unlike you want to know all I can about religion before I write it off as nothing. I myself am a Pagan, but have respect for all religions.

The Prophet espoused knowledge and learning. Objectively, all evidence suggests that humans (like everything) do evolve to higher levels of development. But there is no more evidence for the "evolution" of one species into a completely different species than there is for the idea of the transmigration of souls,a fairly comparable concept. Of course our species has evolved, and continues to; we are taller now then in Washington's time, for example. The fact is indisputable that all species - and cultures, everything really - evolve - but there is no evidence for Darwin's theory. He just took the documented evidence that species evolve and used it to support the false thesis that one species can evolve into another. No one has ever found anything to support such a notion. Islam believes in the reconciliation of science and religion; any belief found to be in conflict with knowledge is deemed to be based on an erroneous interpretation of the Prophet's teachings, derived from human error.

taking it from the arguement that man was created from a monkey I would have to say not. Taking in the smaller scheme of things as to how the horse was created out of a three-toed animal no bigger than a fox or a cat I would say yes. Evolution has more to do with than just monkeys you know.

I'm afraid Islam is just as misguided as Christians and Jews about evolution even though they are at each others throats about everything else.

i believe in Adam and Eve.
But however i also do believe in evolution.
Not specifically in human but especially in animals.
And i also believe that humans when they first came did not look like we look like today. Like hominids are human like creatures before Adam and eve. I believe in those (but they are not monkeys).
SO i do believe that humans have evolved somewhat JUST NOT FROM A MONKEY.
What Muslims do not believe is that we came from animals or monkeys.
but what i stated above is personal opinion.

I am Muslim and don't believe in evolution. I believe that ALLAH is the Creator and created everything on Earth and created the entire Universe and everything in it.
