I found a way to copy it, woooo. And to that person below, maybe I don't want to spend my money on it, duh, why do you think I'm trying to copy it?

Not yet. If you want to back up your legally owned copy of the movie you can try my advice, it might work.

Download Dvdfab Decrypter from the site below
http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

Have it decrypt to your harddrive. Then use dvd-shrink to make a back up of the files on the harddrive (OPEN FILES and show it where the dvd was decrypted to)

DVD SHRINK

Otherwise try Ripit4me. Instructions at the website.

The DVD was released by Sony so it probably has a variant of the Sony Arccos( or it's spelt Archos) Protection on.

Hi Civic Chick 2005.
If those VHS machines or copies were available for a while longer I could be able to copy the movie on VHS. I never tried it before but you could buy a VHS with a DVD Como machine and try to see if it will work. (2.) You could go to Radio Shack and get those transfer connecters that will copy A DVD.? (3.)Another way is I have a DVD Player and a VCR at home on the back it has these colored holes Red, White, and Yellow on the VHS and DVD but you need a transfer cable to connect to. If nothing else works then those guys are right it could be copyright protected. Give A Try?
Glad I Can Be Of Help?

Spend the few bucks to buy it. For that small amount, it's not worth the risk of legal issues. With that said, if it's a DvD, it's going to have a ghost sector on it. This protects it from being ripped with a computer. There are ways to get around it, but unless you have skills at hacking DvD's, then go to the basic approach. Simply, whatever TV you watch DvD's on, connect a VCR. Then record.

^^ he makes the obvious and correct assumption, dvds are encrypted to stop people pirating them like you're trying to do.
