When I highlight a series of text on Word, and hit backspace, it acts like the "end" key instead of deleting it, it takes me back to the start of the highlighted text. Anyone care to guess what setting i shouldn't have touched? I screw around with them a lot so I'm sure it's a setting.

Lol the word perevert and Micrsoft seem to atrract attention when used together.

Thanks for any answer right now, it is really annoying and I have put up with it fotrtoo long.

Click on the Tools menu and select Options. Click on the Edit tab to bring it to the front.
Under 'Editing Options' see if there is no tick before 'Typing Replaces Selection'. If not, click on it and click OK, and this should solve your problem.

if u have this problem only while using Word then u need to search and delete a file normal.dot and after u run Word - it should be ok. u may have assigned a macro to the back space key or the keyboard has been reconfigured (could be trojan virus and someone is playing the fool with u). However this would not confined to just using Word.
