How about this. There is as much scientific proof of global warming as there is of bigfoot

if you are supporting that people should pay attention to global warming you should watch "An Inconvenient Truth" and you could talk about the following

1. the amount of CO2 raising in the ozone layer
2. the fact that the temperature have far exceeded the natural warming temperatures
3. overpopulation contributing to global warming
4. the other fuel options that are out there and why we don't use them.

if you are doing an argumentative essay then you would have to point out the flaws of the other side and i think their main arguments are that is
1. doesn't exist which is proven false through the temperatures
2. that even if it existed that if we tried to fix it that the economy would crash. which is totally wrong the ecologically aware countries have actually made a lot more money than America in many different areas (ex. car sales)

I wish I had more to say but that's all i can think of. Hope this helped good luck with your outline.

You can talk about how much money Al Gore makes pushing his hoax. And how he would be a nobody today if he didn't do so. You can talk about his business to sell energy credits. You can talk about the Kioto treaty and how Europian countries are buying energy credits from India and China (India and China don't have any limits so there is no energy saved). You can talk about the global cooling article in Time Magazine in 1974 that said we would be in another ice age in 200 years. You can talk about the greenhouse effect and how the sun and sun spots have more influence on the temperature than anything else. You can talk about water vapor being the major greenhouse gas and that CO2 is onlt 4% of greengouse gas. You can talk about weather changes and how they are cyclical. First warming then cooling (wait 30 years, they'll be talking about ice age again).

Did that help?

(read the time article. It's very interesting)

1. What is it? --- Describe what it is including the greenhouse effect and put in some statistics such as the increase in temperature.
2. How is it created? --- Describe how humans create these gases and also natural factors
3. What damage does it do? ---Describe how the temperature change has changed our seasons, how it is effecting us as humans and the animal world, and how it effects our resources.
4. What can you do to prevent further damage---Such as conserving energy, carpooling, and voting for environmental friendly people.

Good luck

Just put in the usual BS about greenhouse gas and CO2 levels being increased by burning oil and gas.
