with the overwhelming majority of world aid in its various forms and charities coming directly from Christian organizations- did you ever wonder what the world would be like without it?

well, lol, that's a lie.

wow.

you people amaze me with your mindless rhetoric. bill gates is an atheist and he is the single largest donor in history. get real!!

did you know that the christian children's fund (until they wre called out for it) FOR YEARS used to go to other countries, set up shop, cook meals and bring clothing and medical aid, etc etc etc, AND THEN refuse to give it to any children who wouldn't sit through brainwashing bible classes all day?

it's abuse. religious aid organizations are foul and abusive. they are there to serve their own interests. don't fool yourself. it makes you seem like an idiot and it seems like you don't know what you are talking about.

overall, xiantiy hurts it. all the wars, hate, killing... and you think what little aid nonsense that they do (while brainwashing foreign kids) is enough to balance it out? aid one, kill ten, aid one, kill ten?? then, let god sort them out...???

why does it have to come with all the negative costs of your cult??

Which sect of Christianity are you talking about, and are you looking at history or merely the world today?

Christianity has both been a tool for good and a tool for evil.

Furthermore, with all that 'overwhelming majority,' don't be so sure it's coming from Christians. I am an agnostic attending a Lutheran law school, so the pro bono work that you think a Lutheran law student is doing may instead be me, an agnostic, doing the work.

I also donated money specifically for the purchase of a goat in an African village to World Vision (a Christian charity) last Christmas for my parents (they ran a goat farm when I was a kid, so giving a goat was sentimental). So that goat that you think Christians gave the poor people in Kenya or Mauritania or wherever may instead have been given by an agnostic.

Don't seek to divide yourself from the world, and don't pride yourself on giving more aid than any others. I very much suspect that Christianity is proportionately the richest religion on the planet, so your giving more aid than poorer religions is neither a surprise nor a means for self-congratulation. Simply give aid, do well, and you'll get the benefit for your religion that you seem to want so desperately. Helping others should be enough, instead of trying to calculate who helps the most.

Christianity helps, definitely. What hurts our world is the sin and hate brought on by the people (yes, Christians too!) The world is a mess, that is true. But what can you expect when the entire planet is in open rebellion against it's Creator? But I know that everything happens for a reason and I know who is in control : )
God Bless!

shall we study a background e book or perhaps basically study the bible. we can commence with the destruction of sodom. or the death of jesus christ. or we can rapid forward to the middle a while the place people have been beheaded in the call of christianity, or we can visit the crusades. shall we glance on the conflict in islam... thats exceptionally religious and christian on condition that the land being disputed is "holy" in many diverse religions. How with regard to the salem witch trials? How approximately that loopy baptist woman that protests on the funerals of squaddies?? How approximately you relatively take time to study a honestly background e book and look on the reasons of diverse the subjects in the previous and modern-day issues plaguing the international as we talk. you will locate that christianity is the reason of many. perhaps if christianity didnt exist, the terrorists wouldnt have attacked the international commerce centers. they hate us because of the fact they hate christianity. if u.s. wasnt a "christian" us of a then perhaps those people might nevertheless be alive... basically perhaps

And some of the darkest times in history also come from Christianity.

Just because a group of people does good deeds does not mean what they follow is valid.

Atheists give money to charities - along with many other religious groups - like the Jews. Christianity just has more money because of it's mass group of followers. They are able to do more and because of their desire to convert the world they travel to more places.

We might be better without religeon, but not without Christianity by itself.
Perhaps we should all convert to Islam. Beat our woman, and make them cover their faces, and not allow them to become educated?

Should we become Jews? Not sure we could. Isn't there genetic restrictions on becoming a Jew?

Do we want 7 billion voodoo practicioners?

No, I think we should either keep or dump all of them at the same time.

It would be a much better place. Lots more people would be alive, for one (crusades). All the time wasted on "worshipping" a non-existent being would be better spent with productive pursuits, advancing knowledge and society. Finally, all that accumulated wealth the Pope has in the Vatican wouldn't be there, it would be spread out among the people. It would have been a pretty great world if not for this superstitious nonsense.

Dear he>i,

Don't listen to non- believes and their bad influence. I am a Christian and have seen God working in my life. I hope that this message finds you well. if you have more questions email me at svsta90@yahoo.com. I am a light for those in dark places. Christianity is about God and what we can do for him, not what we do in the name of God. We are but flesh. It is not mere chance I saw on my website this question and I felt compeled to send you a response. I read some answers you got and that would lead you astray. I would like you you to go to www.cIy.com. (Stands for "Christ in Youth" It is an eye opener. Remember God loves you and is there with you untill the end of the age. Christianity is like the U.S. government. It causes more problems than it solves.
