How about ibuprofin? Benedril? Vick's cough syrup?
Are there any legal drugs, over-the-counter or prescription, that you suggest to stay away from before a drug screening?

None of those drugs that you have listed will effect a pre- employment drug screen...There are no over the counter drugs that will alter a test...so go ahead and take your medicine so you will feel like going for the test.....Hope you feel better soon...

Yes cold medicines and herbs can all cause a false positive. Tell your future employer ahead of time that you are taking cold medicines etc.

anti-histamines are useless on a cold.
get some zicam, you'll be 90% better by morning.
