Free sites aren't going to help you here. What you need is information from your mother. Either she will tell you all the details (so that you can search for him), or she won't -- at which point, there's not much you can do.
However, consider: he hasn't been a part of your life before, and odds are he doesn't want to be now. It's not because there's anything wrong with you -- he doesn't even know you, after all -- it's just because he's that kind of a guy.
And knowing that he's that kind of a guy, is that really the kind of guy you want to meet?

Tough question, I was adopted and I had never been told my mom died in 90 and my dad in 92, in 93 I decided I wanted to know the truth after my uncle slipped up and told me I was adopted. Anyways it took me 4 hours from start to finish to find my biological family, I was in Iowa and they were living in georgia.. At that time we didnt even have the resource of the internet.. So I thought back to everyone I had ever seen in any of my baby pictures.. and there was a red headed woman that I knew to be my cousin Nance, so I called her she made a few calls and the people she talked to gave her a number of a uncle of mine I had never met 30 miles from where I grew up, I called him and he started crying, He told me they had been looking for me also I was 28 yrs old at the time..He gave me my so-called mothers number and then I was put in contact with my sister I didnt know I had and a brother.. WOW I had a whole family I didnt even know I had, although it lessened the hurt a little of losing my mom and dad it was nothing compared to when she turned her back on me, luckily I still have my new sister, after my biological mother turned her back on me again.. You can look on the internet under peoplesearch.com if you know his name..Thats a good place to start, still to this day I have a name for my biological father but yet to find him.. although I would like to also.. Good Luck, but be prepared for the outcome if you do find him it may not be all its cracked up to be or maybe it will be the best day of your life, be careful for what you wish for it may come true.

Adoption.com, even though it is for adoption you can search for people and someone either him or someone he knows might respond. There is also Yahoo people search, searchbug, etc. if you know his name and approximate age and maybe location you just might get lucky. Good Luck! I hope you find him, you can always try Jerry Springer!
