I am not so much mad as I am scared. I have alot of cats and dogs. It does really make me mad that the company says they will compensate people if their pets have died! Now how are they going to do that? It is not like they can bring someones beloved pet back to life.

Yes I am mad and frightened too. One of my cats was getting over-weight, while the other needed to put on a bit of weight. I researched and researchd and finally decided to try IAMS weight control canned cat food and Eukenuba for supplemental treats. I made the switch a couple of months ago. Then THIS recall... the fright... the frantic calling... the worry!!! Fortunately, the cans that I had been giving them were not in the batch of tained food(the code numbers did not match) - but it was close call - too close that I decided to totally drop IAMS and Eukanuba and just go "naturals" and "organics."

I am mad with IAMS and Eukanuba for making me think that they are "above the run of the mill" pet food producers and that the quality of their pet food is heaps better than dear old humble Friskies and Whiskas (which have been around for 40 to 50 years without incident!). This food recall made many of realize that some of this so -called top brands use the very same ingredients and the very same manufacturers as the "store brands" they ridicule!

Yep - I am mad.

Saddened by it more than mad. I'm not surprised and I think that's why I'm not "mad" about it. But all those people who lost their beloved pets over that didn't have to.

I don't feed my cats wet food, and I don't even feed them dry from any of those brands. I'm just saddened by how many pets have gotten really ill and died.

Yahoo News is now reporting that 1 out of every 6 animals tested that ate the effected food was poisoned. They found out about this problem on Feb 20! Why did it take so long for them to alert the public? It's just not right.

I'm not mad as much as I'm scared. I mean if our pets can die from this does this mean someone is trying to kill us too? Maybe this is a test run for an attack on us. With the way the world is today it makes me nervous. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs and thankfully I feed them something else, but it could be next...

YWS I am mad and my heart goes out to the pet owners who have lost their precious babies and best friends they say it has to do with the wheat gluten . what I do not understand is why they would change wheat gluten manufactured in midstream and why wait so long to let us know about it if caught early then renal failure ( kidney failure can be treated ) so yes I am mad and heart broken but very thankfull that my kitty seems to be ok and yes just to be sute I am taking him to the vet just to be sure that all is ok and my prayers and thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones

I am a bit upset, but not too much. I don't give my dog mushy food. Dry food is better to clean his teeth.
