I have a dog that is 54 days pregnant. I want to know if she has her pups now will they survive.

61-65 days depending on the size of her and the size of the male she mated with. There is a slight chance that the pups may survive but very unlikely. If she has started nesting or contractions have started, take her to the vet ASAP and they will advise you on what to do.
If she has started nesting and contractions have already started, have your vet on speed dial just in case something goes wrong. If she has any trouble or you are worried, either call the vet and ask them what you should do for her or take her to the vet.

Normal gestation for canines is 63 days (9 wks). I am a breeder of Std Poodles & just happen to have 2 litters on the ground @ the moment. I begin checking temps (anally) 1 wk prior to the 63 day target twice daily to ascertain the females normal temp & when it drops over 1 degree she should whelp within the next 24 hrs. Note: the am temp will normally be a bit lower than the pm temp - say around .4 or .5 degrees lower. If this is your 1st whelping, please be with her constantly to monitor her behavior as to breaking the sac & severing the umbilical cord. If she doesn't, you have to step in & help her. Have some sharp scissors handy for the cord. Good luck & God bless!!!

She's got another week. It takes about 60-63 days I believe. I believe they would survive.

9 weeks or 63 days. Start taking her temperature in the 8 week if it drops bellow 99 you have 48 hours.
