Looks like some people have never tried potato chip cookies, they are yummy!
Where I used to work, one of the girls made them every Christmas and no matter how many she brought, there were never enough. They were a big hit and very addicting.
They taste like a light, delicate, crunchy vanilla cookie, not at all like potato chips, although I like potato chips, and I also like the cookies.... a lot as my hips show :-)
I like the fact they are pretty easy, and yes, a great way to use up stale chips.
Here's a good recipe to try for them:
Potato Chip Cookies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake each batch 10-12 minutes until lightly golden brown.
Ingredients
2 sticks of butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup crushed potato chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Powdered sugar
Instructions
Cream together butter and sugar. Gradually add flour and mix well. Add vanilla and potato chips and mix well. Fold in nuts. Roll into ping pong or golf sized balls, place about 2-3 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Roll in powdered sugar, makes 3-4 dozen

These people who've answered obviously don't know what a potato chip cookie is... They are in fact, delicious, and not good for you. But to answer you're question, yes you can use stale potato chips. After they are cooked sprinkle a thick layer of powdered sugar on top. They sort of taste like a richer sugar cookie. Much better than a sugar cookie though.

Because it's made of stale potato chips, silly! ...Didn't you know? That's where potato chips come from :(

what in gods name is a potato-chip cookie....and why would you want to eat something like that...people are starting to get weird about what they eat
especially 10th graders are you in the 10th grade

It sounds so disgusting they must be delicious. Since you will cook them, they can be stale but not spoiled. Let us know the results!

never heard of it but think it sounds cool to try...why not...we throw every thing else in cookies....hope u find out...let me know if u do..ill eat em(at least 1 or 2)
