Looking to see if this name is on a death list from either the State of Minnesota or Wisconsin inbetween 1893 or 1894 ONLY: Hersch, Hirsch, Hirsche, Harris, Harry, H. etc. and the last name: Segall, Siegel, Segal, Seigel, and so on... Can ANYONE find a name like this that died from 1893 or 1894 at all for us? He was Jewish and from Lithuania. This would be my dads grandpa...Hes buried between New York and Minnesota and we have NO idea where sadly. He's got to be on some list in some northern state. ANY help would be SO greatly appreciated. Thanks! If we can find a few that died in that time period this might be him finally.

Here are some possibilities that I found searching on Ancestory.com, but I didn't even come close to doing an exhaustive search. It will be a lot of work because these are fairly common names. Ancestory.com is a site that you have to pay to use. Under "Sources" below I've put links to some free sites. Go to those and try searching.

Coincidentally, I'm trying to solve a similar problem. I'm trying to find out what became of my paternal grandfather who died some time around 1930.

Here's the only one I found in either Wisconsin or Minnesota

I'd look for last census listing children,
then look for censuses with those children as Head of Household (HOH). Elders moved in with members of the younger generation, most times.
