I am 15 years old, and I have had stomach disturbances in the past couple of days. I have discomfort in the abdomen, it's like gas moving around during the day, although this usually occurs only for a little while during the day. I have no other symptoms of it though; no vomiting, no weight loss, no nausea, and no appetite loss. I feel notmal besides this. I am wondering, though, if this is a stomach virus, as there is a virus that a lot of people around me had.

I am always paranoid I have a serious disease, though, and I don't know if this is another false alarm.

Don`t worry when i was younger i used to have stomach pain.
If you have an ulcer you would have strong pain and im sure you would have to go to the emergency room.
Why dont you go to the doctor so you can find out whats going on?
and i if you dont wanna go just try to eat better and drink some plain tea and you`ll be fine.

Sorry to ask this, but is the "gas" feeling relieved by passing gas? And no diarrhea, right? That was cool and correct to state the lack of other GI symptoms...good thinking. I think you likely nailed it when you said "I feel normal besides"....good!. You know how some stomach-upsets are..the whole nasty vomiting, chills, diarrhea, pain and so on thing. Glad you are not feeling that way. Keep an eye on yourself but don't worry...and of course tell an adult or whoever can help you if you feel worse. Have fun!

Yes, it's an ulcer! I had one at the same age, and it was ruining my life, so I went to the doctor and got taken care of. Before receiving any medication, I had to undergo a very scary procedure. The damn doctors put a tube with a camera down my throat until it reached my stomach, then they searched until they found the ulcers; because I have a couple of them. GO GET CHECKED!

You do not have a stomach ulcer. The feeling of gas is perfectly normal.

It is a false alram. I am a nurse. if you had an ulcer, you would have severe burning in your stomach and you would probably be vomitting a black coffee ground type substance. If that isn't happening you probably just need tums. :)

yeah. i would say that i am not a docotor. i have no idea what the hell an "ulcer" is. i'd advise to see an actual doctor before anything gets worse. hopefully it's not an "ulcer" and if it is i hope whatever an "ulcer" actually IS, that it isn't bad. get well!
