for gambling only, I would bring about 200 per night or 600 dollars. For the games you like especially craps, you can lose quite a bit in only a few minutes. Video poker is a game where you can sit for hours and have a good time.
Blackjack depends on your minimum bet and again, you could hit a bad streak and lose in a few minutes.
If you can, try going downtown since they have the cheaper craps and blackjack tables. Find a blackjack table with single or double decks. Do you know basic strategy? If not, read a book on it..know the odds of winning. Best of luck and have fun.
oh, and don't just gamble all the time..try hanging out walking around, taking pictures, hang out by the pool, enjoy the sun, all these things are cheaper than gambling!

Depends how much you can afford to lose and where you want to gamble.
Sounds like you have a small budget and there is nothing worng with that.
The per day stratery is a great idea.... and try to really stick with it. $400 bucks = $100 per day.
You can find the cheapest Blackjack downtown at the Four Queens and such for $3-$5 a hand. On the Strip O'Sheas only has a few tables but usually at $5 a hand.... goes up to $10 at peak times (nights, weekends, holidays). Also the stratosphere and Shara have some lower tables. Where they have low blackjack they also usually have cheap Craps.
Cheap videopoker can be found almost anywhere. The key there is find where they bring the free drinks often.
I usually go for 3 days two nights and bring $500 (if I get down $165 in any one day I try to stop then and there). I consider the money spent the second I get on the airplane. So when I win its an AWESOME bonus. If I lose, its no different than if I was going to Disney World and spending $500 on tickets. Just a different form of entertainment.

First of all there are no longer anymore $2 dollar tables on the strip or downtown ( $1 tables were rare and hardly ever seen) I go about 4 times a year and as of last year there were no tables like that. Basically $5 is the min, maybe if you were really lucky you could find a $2 table off the downtown freemont experience but it would be weekday and like 3 or 4 in the morning and a bit off the downtown freemont strip. I would say if you play craps or black jack any amount of time you will need about $500, maybe you will get lucky and win, not cutting into your bank roll.
Stay with video poker if you want to bet quarters or nickels and you will be ok. Make sure you get a slot comp card so at least you can earn towards a free room or food at the buffet
good luck

I work and live in Vegas and the question you should ask yourself is how much do you want to spend? I know some people who can go through a 100 bucks in less then 5 minutes, and others who can last all night playing the Pennie machines. If you are having a bad run then you could lose a lot of money quickly.

First off,you usualyy have to spend money to make it but it sounds like you have the right idea with $100 per day.You could go up to a few hundred per day and probably have a better chance of winning and still not spend a ton of money. Good luck!

You want to have fun, right? I would budget about 250 dollars a day. Remember that you might not come home with any of it, so be prepared to lose it all. Does this money include shows, cab fare, meals, etc.. You might want to have about 300 for every day that u are there.

I was there for almost a week and only spent $40 in slots, and I had a blast! It really depends on your income, and how much of it can be considered disposable. Make sure you'll still be able to pay your bills and still have some money for emergencies in case you don't hit it big!

budget as little as possible to have some fun and don't drink too much as you will loose more - if you start to drink then stop gambling - $100 is plenty to have fun
