I just tried it today, pretty good. The one I tried was kind of a dark ale, seems like. Pronounced in variations of smithicks, the 'w' is silent. Here is a link to more info if you're interested. I tried it at Old Chicago, the pizza restaurant.

It's great. Hey, it's from Ireland, how can it be bad? I live in an Irish community in Queens NYC, and it's everywhere, and on draught. Try mixing it half and half with Guiness for a Black and Tan. Erin go braless

I've tried it and I think its great. The best place to try it is in one of those small friendly pubs in Ireland with an Irish music session going on in the corner!
