Hey. I just recently bought a Mac, so I'm not very familiar with all the ins and outs just yet.
My mac came with 2 installation discs. Disc one (as it mentions) is for installing all of the iLife applications and for OSX itself.
Now, it has no mention whatsoever on what disc 2 is for. I've read everything! I have no clue what disc 2 is for. Can someone plase help me out, please.

Disk 2 is for additional applications such as Chess, Calculator, iChat, Image Capture and a few others. If you install OS X using Disk 1, after the installation finishes and the computer restarts, you will see a message on the screen that says "Insert Disk 2".

But the real answer to your question is that you don't need to install anything unless some problem occurs so just relax for a while.

This why I HATE !!!! MACS..... I easily have a sort of myself (400mhz sort), yet with a large style of enhancements i extra myself like extra ram and 250gb seagate NS/ES force and a pioneer a hundred and ten DVDDL force, an ati 9200, Ms mouse and a xerox show. the only reason I have been given it because of the fact that's the main inexpensive %device around. all the IBM %workstations are between $2000-5000 in any case, there is no generic thank you to run diagnostics on them, like popular computing device. in case you have a computing device, i propose attempting out the not straightforward force with it. Get a maxtor or seagate force diagnostic disk, or some thing loose from ontrack. I dont comprehend if there exists a disk from quantum anymore. you could incredibly plenty stick any force in there, like a Seagate ES/NS line. The AS line is junk. additionally, be certain you're making use of %set up disks and %updates. I easily have observed that lots of the %Macs crash on updates and apple will no handle this situation, so i propose a clean disk the two from apple for the latest %os or purely torrent the disk for %.
