I did not see the program.
However, if you are concerned about your health, then you should know, most of the popular energy drinks on the market have a lot of sugar and caffeine in them, which are bad for you. They will give you a quick "boost" then you "crash".
I drink an energy drink that is healthy for you, works in 10-15 minutes after drinking it, lasts for several hours, and is a lot less expensive than those other energy drinks. It comes in a powder form ("on the go" packet) so you can mix it with 8 oz. of water or other beverage.
After drinking these drinks for several months (daily), I feel so much better. Also, I have some friends that like to work out and they say that it is the best thing for them.
You can find them at www.carlshealthhelp.com/energy

didn't hear that; I used to drink Red bull as an energy drink when I was training for marathons; it would give me a temporary lift all right, but I don't know about it lowering blood pressure.
Incidentally; my local pub does a Red Bull non alcoholic cocktail; Red bull over ice and a slice of a fresh fruit like pineapple or pear; topped with fresh whipped cream and garnished with a cherry!!!

Have a read of this:-
http://www.ivillage.co.uk/print/0,9688,178585,00.html
Instant energy drinks such as Red Bull and Lipovitan contain various combinations of carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and other substances, including caffeine, taurine (an amino acid) and glucuronolactone. Taurine is naturally found in seafood and meat and is believed to help detoxify and cleanse the system. Results from human studies published in the Journal of Preventive Medicine and Advances in Experimental Biology and Medicine have shown that very high concentrations of taurine helped lower blood pressure in patients with hypertension.
