Love-- If your heart beats faster when he comes near, if you start to look at the clock every 2 minutes right after he tells you he'll call at 7, and its 3. If you look at him and picture yourselves old together, and think he's still the most handsome man ever. If you can look at him and see his faults, and still want to be with him every chance you get. That is love. I'd like to tell you how you can tell that he loves you is simple and easy, but its not. If he can hold your hair while you are sick, perhaps he loves you back. If he does things for you that really don't interest him just for the chance to hang out with you-- your in pretty good shape. Just remember to do some things that interest him and not so much you a little too. AND find things to do that interest you both or your totally doomed. ALWAYS communicate, always find time for each other.

Love is when you come home from work and he pitches in helping with the cooking and washing clothes. Love is the smile on his face when he gives you a compliment. Love is when he calls or e-mails just to see how you are doing. Love is spending a lot of time together, saying nothing. Love is when he asks if you want to do something, no matter what it is. You will know, because you will feel it from the heart.

There are different types of love. Parental feelings, close feelings of friendship, even an altruistic streak qualifies as love. Since the section is on dating I'll assume you're talking about romantic love. Generally, if you think you're in love, you are. (Yeah, that clears it up.) You think about the person a lot, are happy when they're happy or sad when they're sad, and long to be with them. They love you if they feel the same way. The best way to tell if someone loves you is if they treat you well, especially if they have nothing to gain.

True love is something you do by choice, not something you "fall into." You are exactly as much in love with someone as you work at. Love is when, by your own free will, you seek all the very best for someone, and seek to give and contribute into that life as much as you can. The only way for love to last a lifetime is for you to make it work, one day (sometimes one moment) at a time. Love is not magic; you have to work at it. You decide if it lasts, and it can. It's called forgiveness, i think forgiveness is the key to all happy endings. For me, Love is a forever kind of deal. Friends, Family, whoever. I'll love you for as long as you want me too, no matter what, I'm there.
I know im in love when i am willing to sacrifice my own happiness for someone elses.
I guess you dont ever really know who loves you, because it all depends on how much they show you.

Love is described different from different people, but to me it is when you totally trust the person, when you are with him/her, you feel like nothing can happen to you and you feel so safe. You get butterflies in your stomach whenever you so much as say that persons name. When you can't even imagine your life without that person and when you think about it, it scares you. So love means different things to everyone but when you find it, you will just know. Thats what I was told and it was right,

I think the meaning of love is magic. No one exactly can describe this feeling of lust toward others. Love is like a feeling. I think love for me is knowing someone, trusting them, being able to tell them everything, and they understand it. You can never know if the person you are with loves you unless they tell you. Love is a mystery. Other have different ways of describing it. Love is different for everyone. You love friends differently that you love your spouse. You will know when you love someone.
Trust Me.

For me love means when love someone unconditionally even though that person may hurt you, you still love that person for the rest of your life. You wouldn't want to trade that person for anyone in the world. That person you are in love with will never hurt you or lie to you because they treasure you.You can love someone without being in love with that person because when you love someone it feels like your in love but with time you will find out if that person is really meant for you. When you are in love you know that this person is the person you ever imagined and more and they will feel the same way back.

Love can't be defined really.
To me love is unpredictable and completely random pretty often. There is a finite line between love and lust. Too often people think it's love when it's nothing but lust.
Usually I find love to be a connection based on trust, respect, and just a little lust mixed in there. A bond that can be broken, injured, but never gone for good.

Love could be a short or long devotion. i love my... ( i can't believe i'm sayin this ) my ... ex girlfriend. she said we should start seeing other people yesterday. two months ago she always said that i was her everything and her one and only and She loved me. We even shared our first kiss.
she wanted to start dating other people because i had to leave from germany to Oklahoma... i'm 15 and my dad is in the airforce. i know 15 is really young... but... she is so special and precious to me. i can't let her go in my heart. I emailed that to her yesterday and i'm waiting for the response. I want her to be happy, even if it means for her to date other guys. I miss her.
to anwer your question, love is a little part of heaven on earth. For some people it can last long or forever and for others, it's really short and painfull.
