always shave after or at the end of your shower or bath. the hair follicles are softer...
try exfoliating your legs before you shave to get rid of dead skin build up
shave with good razor and heavy shaving cream! i use the Gillette vibrating razor... but it doesn't seem to make that much of a diff between that one and the reg. Gillette. For shaving cream I use Barbosal... that kind for men... its really thick and i love it
use a really good lotion afterwords- i use aveno
some girl's hairs just grow more quickly than others- try waxing or depilatories if the shaving thing doesn't work
good luck!!

You have four alternatives:
1. Lazer Hair Removal. (It's superexpensive, but awesome... atleast 2 grand and upwards for the 6 treatments you would need to permanently remove leg hair. It works best if you have light skin and dark hair. It zings a little while it's zapping a hair- but isn't incredibly painful. Save up and go for it- you'll be really glad you did!)
2. Waxing.
3. Tweezing/Epilating. (Will make your legs bumpy and red in the short term, but smooth after a day or two for about two weeks or more... an epilator is basically a group of electric tweezers working together. Be prepared for a fair amount of time and pain for either technique.)
4. Try shaving with a triple blade razor at the end of a warm shower. Shave with a moisturizing soap. Recommendations: Gillette Daisy Triple Blade Razor & Dove Cucumber Melon Soap. Try only shaving every other day or once every few days for maximum smoothness.

Use a razor with at least two blades and a moisturizing strip. The disposable men's ones work the best for me. I've noticed that when I shave with shaving cream or shaving gel, I don't get that close of a shave. So instead I use a moisturizing shower gel as a shave cream...just put a little bit on your leg and work it into a lather. It always works for me...super smooth, shiny legs.
If you decide to shave your bikini area, put solid, unscented deoderant over the area afterwards and you won't get those painful red bumps.

I had the same problem, I found that Bic 2 blade razors work well and this may sound funny but I use a lufa pad and scrub and then I put Johnsons body wash on my legs with a poof washer thing ,then i shave, and after I wait 6 hrs and apply avon;s age defiying body lotion on my legs.

Keep them moisturized always and before you shave let your leg hairs soak in the water this helps to soften the hair so when you shave its not so hard also make sure your shaving in the right direction which is up not down!

The trick is to shave them after you've been in the shower for a little bit...the warm water loosens up the hair follicles so when you shave, the hair practically wipes off. It makes a huge difference!

Oh yea im a guy but i can relate cuz professional swimming really takes a toll on my. I know you might think of it a little awkward, but if you actually put a really good aftershave, wait 30 seconds, and then put nivea lotion, youre legs will be baby smooth.....i promise.....
