okay, so i met him through my friend. we used to be pretty close and he would always say hi, make conversation, and playfully put the hood of my jacket up. BUT there's this other girl who likes him and has liked him for a couple of years now; and he know that she likes him. she always playfully teases him and he likes the attention, but he constantly emphasizes that they're 'friends'. we havent talked for a while now: it sort of feels like theres something between us that i cant put my finger on, but its making it harder to talk; its like we get shy around each other. i catch him glimpsing at me a lot.
do you think he likes me? and can you explain please...

Yes he does. But he should take the action. Don't know what you can do at this point, try to initiate conversation.

I think that he misses talking to you and likes you. if you truly like him, go for the goodies and make that other girl jealous.
