yes! in fact my cat woke me up last night because he found a bag and his raspy tounge on the plastic makes such an annoying noise. I can't figure out why, I think it might be because it feels cold and smooth on their tounges. at least i'm not the only one!

My two cats adore plastic bags! They love to lick them, bury their faces in them, chew them up, and toss them around. I don't keep too many out, however, because I'm afraid they'll suffocate. They usually play with them whenever I put the groceries away.

My cats especially adore paper bags. They love to hide in them and take naps in them. I believe that they especially like the bags because they can move them around. And cats love to explore! They love corners that no one can disturb them in!

Some cats love rustley things, and gravitate towards strange play things.

Make sure you watch whenever your cat is playing as theres always a risk of suffocation.

You can buy crinkly bags for cats that are covered in furry fabric that your cat may enjoy, they are safer than normal plastic bags :)

ooh yeah!!! I just answered another question like this.

The condition is called Pica. My cat has a thing for plastic. She will lick it and try to eat it. So it has to be out of her reach at all times. Its basically harmless unless they ingest too much. Please look at the website below (section 3.2 feeding ecology) and I hope this helps!!!

omg.. my cat does that too! the only thing I can figure is that they like the static electricity.. thats my guess lol but only the cats know for sure!

My cat will tear a bag up just by stretching it out with her face.. so funny to watch though!

And Dru R (below) mentioned that her cat chirps when she sneezes.. my cat does that when I cough, so weird!

my cat doesn't rub around and like on them, but he will sneak up to it and put his head in. Then he always accidently brushes it and makes the bag move and it scares him sooo bad he runs. Everytime! So funny, would think he would learn, lol.

Cats love bags, but don't leave plastic ones lying around. Get a paper one out. It will have even more fun zooming into that and it will be safer.

Yes. Cats are crazy, wonderful creatures. My cat does a chirpy meow everytime I sneeze. I have stopped wondering why and I have just come to love it.
