I was in Subway earlier,and I seen a guy and a woman with Kinky Twists.This is my 2nd time within the year getting Kinky Twists,and I havent noticed them the first time until now.EVERYONE and I mean Everyone has this......Even the girl who does my hair asked me to do kinky twists on her.Kinky Twists are NOT a new age hairstyle,but Id like to know,what and why are these things becomming so popular?

i wondered the same thing... i think its because people are feeling the natural look without actually having to have their own hair natural

I, too was on the subway and I saw a guy with kinky twists--they were really funky too! I guess it is a trend, just like those sengelese braids--remember sistas were getting them back in the early 90's...and now you barely see that style played out on the streets. Styles come and go--just think in another 20 years Kinky twists may still be in style...or just like bell bottoms....reappear on the hair scene as a classic.

I feel you too. I thought that it was just me. I relocated to TX from DC a few years ago and I remember that 'erybody back home had kinky twists years ago. I figured that they just made their way west. I guess what they say is true, "there's nothing new under the sun"

the only way you could learn is by using spending time in an African hair braiding salon and that i doubt you will discover all and sundry there prepared to instruct you the secrets and techniques of the commerce, lol!
