my doc prescribe Omacor? ...a fish oil Omega 3....

He says it is better than what I can get at CVS or Walmart...

What is the big difference....will it cost a lot more????

If you have medical insurance, you might be able to get it on a prescription co-pay, because Omacor is the first and only FDA-approved prescription omega-3 fatty acid product.
Nonprescription, dietary supplement omega-3 is not a substitute for prescription Omacor.

Yes it probably will cost more but it will be cleaner and will be safer for you. Omega 3 fish oils are not all equal, they come in different strenghts. The really pure ones will do the job they are meant to do much better than the cheaper ones that you get at Walmart. Those may be cheaper but they aren't giving you the help you need so in reality you are throwing away your money and not getting better. Listen to your doctor and get what he has recommended.
