my dad just moved out and my mom hates him. hes not my real dad but hes the only one i got. theres another problem as well...he drinks and is scarry wen he drinks...any advice?

you sound like you really love your dad, still see him, he will not hurt you an the drinking is prob due to the break up with your mum. im sure he loves you lots too!

If he's the only father figure you have then you should see him. I'm sure your mom had a good reason for letting him go. As you said, he's scary when he drinks. Maybe you could talk to your mom, tell her you love him because he's the only dad you have, & ask her if you can see him when he's sober.

Your best bet is to sit down and have a talk with your mom to let her know exactly how you feel. Then hopefully you both can come to some sort of agreement about seeing your dad. But always remember moms usually know best.

if he is scary at times with drink why would you want him near your mom, he could hurt her and you too, or even worse. i think your mom is right best be rid of him, and the sooner the better. don't worry, you will get over him to, just give a little time and see that things will work out, they always do

I think the only way is to email,mail, or phone contact with him. I really can kind of tell the reason why your mom doesn't like him, so I don't blame her. Maybe it's safer to not contact him, but I don't know him well, so I really don't know.

Keep in touch with him by mail and e-mail if possible. Explain to him that you love and miss him but you only want to see him when he's not drinking.

contact him and let your mom know you still see him as a father figure and you want to spend some time with him.

call him and set a date about a month from now and tell him you want him to be sober and talk to your mom about it too

If you cant drive, which i assume if you cant see him, just call him atleast to know you still want to associate
