I just recently started dating a girl (both of us 20) I've known for a long time and I couldn't be happier. I've never cared for someone so much. When we started dating I broke contact with all of my old flames, desiring to talk with them no longer. Now I tend to not talk to other girls anyway, I have no reason. Yet my girlfriend still talks to old flames, who tell her she looks hot on her myspace and talk to her on AIM. She went on a picnic with several guys a few days ago and thought nothing of it. Should I think nothing of it? Do I have a right to be jealous?

Good for you that you have no contact with your ex girls - but don't expect the same from you new girl coz everyone is different. She shouldn't be telling you though that they say she look hot - maybe she's trying to make you jealous? Next time you go on the picnic too and see how the interact - you'll probably put your mind at ease when you see they're just friends!

Being jealous is natural, but you should not be upset, or stay upset. It is okay to talk to old flames as long as they are just friends. You need to be more secure in your relationship. What kind of relationship do you want? One with trust or without it; where inevitably someone becomes to controlling! SO my advice is talk to her. Be straight up; let her know it bothers you but do not tell her she can't do it. She should respect your feelings- but don't expect her to just drop her old flames- now friends. That is asking alot. If you decided to stop talking to other female friends because of her, then you are wrong...
If you decided to stop talking to other female friends out of respect, then she does not feel the same way you do regarding this way of respecting each other...
You are both young... if you don't like the situation - talk about it... it is better you both understand, care, and respect each other... maybe she is not ready for a relationship and wants to explore with other people... at least this is what it sounds to me... she could be really nice and invite you to go with her to these gatherings or get togethers this way you know what is going on in her mind... if she does not then you are not that important in her life... again you are both young...

I don't think there is anything wrong with talking to them (depending on the circumstances) but a normal circumstance, like they used to date, then broke up, end of story, who cares if they still talk. But going out with these guys is a whole different ballpark and I would be heated!

It's problematic to talk about feelings in terms of "rights". You feel how you feel, and that can't be ignored. It's how you deal with your feelings that counts. Tell her how you feel. You can't make her drop all her old friends just because you did. She didn't ask you to do that, it was your choice. But you can ask her to be sensitive to your feelings and ask her friends not to make suggestive comments on her Myspace, and ask her to try not to be flirtatious, and to include you in her activities when there are going to be only guys there besides her.

Your jealous cos you care for your girl so much.
If you trust her there shouldn't be a problem.
Maybe your just wishing she was where you are - not needing to talk to old flames etc.
Talk to her and let her know that you trust her but for some reason it makes you uncomfortable.

your jealous because you lover her alot and u r very possesive regarding her.you dont wanna lose her and u dont wana share her with others ,thats y u feel jealous, but being jealous can effect your relationship.so dont be jealous even if you feel bad, dont worry if she also loves you alot then even if she talks with old flames ,that doesn't matter coz she loves you.and she wont do anything which dont pleases you if she loves she wont hurt u.so dont be upset.

Just tell her without it sounding like you dont want her talking to no guys at all.
Just tell her that you are jealous of her hanging with her ex boyfriends.
most girls find jealousy to be cute.
If you dont tell her it will just build up inside of you
that will cause everything to end badly.
because you werent open with your feelings.
or you kick one of the guys faces in..

i was upset to tell you the truth i dumped him
talk to her about it calmly and tell her that it hurts you
mabey she dosent realize it
if she loves you she will understand
just speak ghentally
