I want to tone my lower body by summer. what are some good exercises to acheive the nice toned lower body look? how many reps recommended? how many times a week? do I need to combine cardio? if so how much? thanks

Cardio 4 - 5 times per week for 30 minutes to an hour..
Lunges and squats, whatever you can do! It's gonna hurt the first week, but very worth the pain! Try at least 3 sets, 3 times per week right after cardio!

lunges are best for the rear and for the legs. i do the left leg 5 times, then the right leg 5 times. repeat 10 times and take an asprin and a glass of water. do every other day. i also play soccer with the kids and do arm lifts with soup cans. i am in good shape. but not bulky. to step up the process you can go up & down the stairs for 10 min every other day. i only have 3 porch steps and they work fine. cheaper than buying a stepper.

burn calories : walk,rollerblade,skate,swim 3-5 times a week for 30 mins.
