From a mom's point, it's not that we don't see it, it's sometimes hard for us to admit it!
My oldest is now 15 I still see the baby from 1992 in him. He is now 185lbs., 5'7" nowhere near a baby! He's a big boy!!!!!
First is don't keep reminding mom and dad your growing up, worst mistake, that makes us feel we are getting old!
Be responsible in your choices. When responsibility is far off your mind just be sensible. Don't do it because so and so did it at school or after school.
got it? Hope so. ;)

Because mom's do not want to see their child grow up and move on and not "need" their mom. My daughter is only 4 and I dread the day she is ready to move on. And I still have a ways to go before that happens.

Its hard for a mom to realize it. You just have to be patient with her and explain to her that you are growing up and becoming more mature. Your actions must prove this though otherwise you will be seen as a child still. It is hard for a mom to see their child become older because they can't protect them from everything anymore and have to trust that they brought their child up right. And that can be quite a scary thought. But just prove to her with your daily actions and sit down with her and talk to her about it.

You never actually grow up in your parents eyes. Get used to it.
I still sometimes try to hold my son's hand when we are crossing a road, and he's 14.

Because shes your mom. :) Its hard for our parents to see we are becoming independent and can make our own choices. Just be patient and talk to your mom. Its hard for her too.
