I dont think it is recalled food. The recalled food is sliced meat in gravy sauce. I give him Iams Small and Toy dry dog food.

Too much fat in his diet... But no need for concern. Put some shoes on so you don't step in it.

How old is your dog, was he out the back eating grass. How often is he throwing up and is he drinking more water then he normally does. If he is eating a little bit of grass and throwing up once and he only does this once every month or so then he just had an upset stomach, but if he is throwing up once or more every few days and drinking a lot more water then he or she normal does then you should be worried. If he is doing the second one and is not eating as much then he might have diabetes, so you should have him tested. There are pills for it, or if the vet decides it's better for your puppy you will need to give him insulin shots for the diabetes.

There are many reasons your dog may vomit from time to time and if he is showing no other signs of illness I wouldn't worry. The yellow liquid you speak of here is more than likely stomach acid. Probably something he ate. I have had animals all my life and every one of them has vomited now and then. This alone is nothing to be worried over. If he developes diarrhea, refuses to eat for more than a couple of days, then it is time to see a vet. Also a dog will eat grass if he has a tummy ache and will make himself vomit. It's normal for animals to do this. As for eating poison as someone else has suggested, you would know if this was so. Your pet would not just vomit, he would be very sick with other symptoms. Just like having children, if you run them to the doctor everytime they vomit you will be labeled as hysterical. Wait for a day or two for other symptoms then if so, by all means make a visit to the vet.

With the recall on all the many different kinds of dog food right now, you might want to take him to your vet.

Normally I would say that occasional vomiting isn't something to act on immediately but until these recalls are cleared up, why chance it?

Continue monitoring his behavior. He might have just had a stomach ache. Try not to feed him so much and make sure he drinks a lot of water.

Take him to the doctor. Are you feeding him the contaminated food that was recalled? Check this site: http://www.menufoods.com/recall/

My dog does this sometimes and I've heard it is very common. By the way, Dori S, there's no need to be so rude!
