Help with a guy, help me, and I'll try to help your situation too.?

Question

I need some major help. I see this guy everyday in the hallway, hes really attractive, and seems sweet. Today I dropped my books and he went to pick them up, but I had picked them up before he got the chance. I don't know him, and I dont think any of my friends do either, I can be really shy sometimes, any ideas of how to get things started?

don't be afraid to say hi, or if you drop your books again or somehting, then say thanks and maybe have something planned out ahead of time that you might say to him to get a little conversation started, like pretend like you recognize him from some class you took with him a while ago, and maybe get the ball rolling that way, start on some topic. that probably isn't the best topic, but that's all i can think of right now.
even if you only have a little short conversation, the next time you see him you can at least say hi without it being wierd and the more often you say hi, the closer you will sorta feel, then if you see him sometime again you can talk to him again without it being weird.
topic ideas: maybe compliment something he is wearing, ask where he is headed and walk with him a little while, hmm, i don't know, but whatever it is, just be sure to keep the ball rolling by asking follow up questions that make him talk, the more someone has the chance to talk about themself to someone else, the closer they feel to that person, so it wouldn't do you much good to tell him about you, let him tell you about him. does that make sense?

when you see him again in the hall way just start a conversation if he is interested in the conversation ask for his number all he can do is say no
