These young people have been seriously wounded even lost limbs, while following orders and defending the interests of the United States of America. While medicine and science can give them artificial limbs and restore some of their functionality, they will never be the same again, unless God intervenes.

I am asking those of you strong in your faith (whatever faith it is Christians, Muslims, Jews, Wiccans, etc.) to pray to your God(s) and ask him/her to restore the limbs, charred flesh and devistated lives of these dedicated, deserving men and women.

If you think praying for all of them is too hard, may I suggest focusing on Robert Jackson (double amputee) and James Wright (single amputee). Pray that God gives Robert two new, healthy, strong REAL legs and James a new right arm. Pictures of Robert and James are here: http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/wounded/gallery.htm so there won't be any confusion.

For those of you who didn't go to the website: they already have prosthetic limbs. What they need from God(s) is REAL flesh and bone -like when a lizard loses its tail and grows a new one. Please pray specifically for that so that we'll know for sure when the prayers are answered. If you don't like my picks, pick your own amputee and pray for real flesh and bone to be restored (without the help of science). A real miracle.

God is quoted frequently as being All-Knowing (omniscient) and All-Powerful (omnipotent). By definition then, there is nothing that is impossible for him. Jesus says (many times) "Ask in my name and it will be done." I fail to see how doing as Jesus directed (unless you're Muslim or something else) could be taking God's name in vain. Or perhaps you think Jesus meant "only ask for easy stuff in my name and I'll do it if I feel like it". If so, I don't want your prayers, you'll mess up the experiment and I certainly wouldn't want to upset an omnipotent being.

Praying for the impossible is taking God's name in vain. However, all of our servicemen and women, from all services in all wars, deserve nothing less than our eternal gratitude.

When you see a soldier or a veteran, thank them for their service and sacrifice. Pray for the well-being of our troops in the field and for the recovery of those wounded. Pray for the families of our servicemen and women that they should remain strong until their loved one(s) come home.

No I will not pray for the invaders of Iraq and Afghanistan. I will however for all my brothers and sisters in the Arab world to get along and especially for my Palestinain brothers and sisters to end the Zionist occupation of their homeland.

Father God, I pray that these war heroes will find peace in their innermost being. I pray that You will heal and restore and give strength, in Jesus' name. Amen
