he comes to see me.when i get mad he trys his best to make me happy.when we chill its like were still together.and he worrys about who iam messing with even though we've been broken up going on a year.he checks my phone.he cuddles with me its so confusion

Yes! he does still care about you very much if he is doing all of these things. obviously he still has feelings for you and i think that it might be hard just to be your friend if he has already was more than that to you. if you feel uncomfortable about this situation then let him know that you are not interested in him anymore. if he takes it the wrong way than i think it might be best if you both stayed away from each other. on the other hand, if you have feelings for him, let him know and give him a second chance. i hope that things work out for you.

This sounds like a bad TV movie where the ex husband kills both of you. Why do you allow him to invade you privacy by checking you phone. He hasn't gotten over having you as his possession. You need to get away from him and grow up. If you can't see the sign of this future abuse then you shouldn't be hanging out with him or anyone else.

It sounds to me like your ex does still care. Something will eventually happen, but don't sweat it too much. I've had problems like that before, but they all ended badly because I made a big deal out of them. You could just ask him too.
