I'd say yes and no.
They know a lot, they can do a lot. When it comes to emotions for instance they have a suspicion all neurotransmitters are involved in emotion. They have no clue as to the total amount of variables involved.
It is grey in the sense that acupuncture has clinically proven to be effective. But the meridians through which the energy travels can not be detected with the most sophisticated technology.
A Korean university did a study and found that light travelled faster along a meridian than it did in a parrallel line 1 cm either side of the meridian.
For everything they discover there is probably a more complex thing waiting to be discovered.

Whats the matter with you all (sorry), no its not a grey area its a very complex and fascinating subject. I have worked within neurological rehabilitation for some time, and still feel that I know nothing, but continue to learn something new every single day.

Neurology is the study of the Nervous System.... Nerves.
Psychiatry on the hand is a total grey area. It is NOT a science.

I asked the doctor who was my lecturer whilst studying biology, incidentally covering the brain about so said grey matter and I was told there is no such physical thing as GREY Matter. It's just a term used by the unqualified people when referring to the brain.
