Just DON'T
feed them the peanut butter that has been RECALLED. But then again..if you want to give/feed them peanut butter do so in MODERATION..too much and it gets stuck to the top of their mouth and they have a hard time getting it down..I would suggest 1/2 teasp. if you MUST. But I wouldn't feed them peanut butter at all unless you have some reason for doing so.

This was recalled a long time ago, is this a new recall? Has it happened again? If this is another recall I'd think twice about buying anything made for Walmart.

We only eat Kraft Peanut Butter.

Buy natural peanut butter(peanuts only), without the added ingredients, you're less likely to run into recall issues for health concerns.
I make my own dog biscuits, I'm pretty into the more natural, healthy thing, my dog hasn't had any problems at all.
Here's one recipe:

2/3 C whole wheat flour
1 2/3 C white flour
1/4 nutritional yeast
3/4 C TVP(textured vegetable protein)
3/4 C natural smooth peanut butter
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 C water

mix, shape into biscuit forms, bake on a greased cooking stone or cookie sheet at 375 for 20 mins, turn off heat and let set in the oven for 20 more mins to crisp up.

Quite frankly I would speak with an attorney. You want to make sure you get everything you are entitled to. No lawyer will charge you fees unless you win a judgement against the dog food company, so you don't have to worry about cost on a fixed income. I would have the dog to the vet as soon as possible for blood work. If you get a letter from the lawyer I'm sure the Vet will wait for payment until the issue is settled with the dog food company as well. I hope your Dog is just fine... Good luck...d p.s. keep packets as proof you used the food in question!

Normally, peanut butter is ok, but recently, I was told by my vet, to stay clear of any brand of peanut butter, until they solve the recall problem.

We have fed our dog peanut butter to take his medicine. If we stuff it in a hotdog he eats around the pill and spits it out.
