Well I live in New York City and it is a VERY expensive city. You really can't find anything cheap here especially in Manhattan. I searched for hotels in Manhattan and the lowest (2 stars or so), still went for close to $200 a night. So, I really suggest you look to stay outside of Manhattan - one of the other four boroughs and look for a cheap hotel. I don't mean to be pessimistic, but a $70 a night hotel in midtown Manhattan is impossible. Hope this helps!

You wont find it. Unless you dont kind staying at a hostel, but they arent in midtown. Realistically, you need to look outside of the city, or at 200 bucks a night.

Sorry, what your looking for does not exist and $70 is unrealistic for any accommodations in NYC.
